Case Study

Nashville Hosts National Tradeshow and Convention

Background

When the Professional Associations for Customer Engagement (PACE) needed help producing its first annual in-person show in three years, they approached Current Marketing Solutions. Managing an event of this scale and complexity took a turnkey team of professionals with just the right experience—and we fit the bill. Overseeing everything from branding and development of the show's theme to event management, deployment, and execution, Current orchestrated an event worthy of being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

With an abbreviated timeline for a show of this magnitude, we immediately hit the ground running to create a Nashville show of all shows. A full buyout of the JW Marriott in Downtown Nashville meant Current needed to develop a strategy to ensure attendee goals would be met and hotel room blocks could be fulfilled. This was a massive undertaking with no time for missteps.

Event Highlight Reel

Bringing PACE to Nashville

A Nashville-based event was sure to draw a crowd, and we showcased the best of Music City with a theme designed to get attendees excited about the location. Once underway, the energy of Lower Broadway reverberated throughout, from bull riding on the tradeshow floor to the Dolly-esque voiceovers during the event. Local design elements were incorporated into all graphics, setting the tone for the main stage’s set design and the live after-parties at area restaurants and bars.

If You Build It, Will They Come?

Building a show for 500+ attendees can be risky business, but Current put into place an ambitious, multi-faceted strategy that encouraged people to register, attend, and sponsor the event. Challenged by years without an in-person conference, Current created and deployed an aggressive social, email, and influencer marketing plan to inform the community about the important content to be shared, the extraordinary networking opportunities, and entertainment that can only be found in Nashville.

The End Game

The show was a huge success for the association, attendees, sponsors, and partners. Our relentless effort, combined with the Nashville theme and unique experiences, paid off when the association hit their goal of welcoming 500 attendees, sold-out booths and sponsorships, and fulfilled hotel room blocks. Plus, post-event surveys garnered rave reviews about the program, the extraordinary experiences surrounding the event, the accommodations, and food choices, as well as delivering a virtual standing ovation for missing no details in providing a very Nashville event.
